Not my usual kind of doodle and I think it shows! I’m not entirely convinced I’m cut out for “cute” and I had a hell or a time with the colours on this as well. A few weeks after doodling it and I’ve managed to get them a little better but they’re still not where I could comfortably say “I’m happy with these” but some you win, some you lose and some you probably should have just stuck to space fish and lasers instead.

The picture itself is of a sleeping octopus, kinda inspired by the nice little merge game, Ocean Pop, that I’ve been enjoying off and on for a while now. It’s dead cheap on Steam, just the right side of jolly and perfect for days like today where my brain has left the building after judging videogames and I just need something relaxing to press buttons to. Also, importantly: fish.
